Busy Busy Boy!

It was hard to catch good pictures of Eli while he stayed with us. He was always on the move....no time to smile for the camera.

Running with the kitchen towel......
Checking out my step stool......
even opening bedroom and bathroom doors!
Ut..oh!!

(I found the t-shirt while in Arizona! snort)

Since Eli was so busy exploring our house there wasn't a need for too many toys to be out. I did get out the 'tee pee tent'! It has been around since Eli's mommy was a toddler. Eli didn't want any thing to do with going inside of it at first. But after Nana sat in it he warmed up to the idea of getting in it himself!

It was hard to see Eli go home last night.......but I think I need a day of rest before I start another work week!!

First Night At Nana and Papa's!

Last night was Eli's first overnight (without mommy and daddy) at Nana and Papa's house. He has been wonderful. Goes to bed without a peep. (Unlike his mommy and auntie!) We get to have him one more night. Then take him home tomorrow.
It's been fun getting out some of the old toys like
refrigerator magnets! Great standby toy!!
Ready for bed! Like I said, not a peep!
Eli, 15 months!

These are a few of the dishcloths I have knit lately!!
This is about the most commonly used pattern for
hand knit dishcloths and the pattern is easily found
on the internet! But I thought I would share it here.
They make great hostess and thank you gifts!
Easy schmeasy, even for novice knitters!

SNOW-MUCH FUN!

At this time of year many Minnesotans are getting pretty tired of the snow and weather..... and then there are several of us that have ways of enjoying this wonderland!!
And we are so thankful that we live in an area that has state trails for us to ride!
We spent the day with my sister Julie, her husband, their oldest son and a couple of his friends! The weather was perfect...not much wind and temps in the 20's!! (Yep, 20's can be perfect for something! hehe)
We put on a hundred miles leaving from Spicer, one loop going southeast to Atwater and back, the other going west and north and through Sibley Park! Nephew and DH with our matching sleds!!(above)

For our nephew and his friends this was the first time they road trails that took you through woods, across fields and around lakes! I'm sure they are ready for another hundred mile day!!

I hope all of you are finding ways to enjoy your 'wonderland'!

Knit Night and Valentine Gifts

While in Arizona a couple of weeks ago, with 9+ friends, I ended up teaching 5 of the ladies how to knit! We made a trip to Hobby Lobby and soon I had them knitting dish cloths! Now back home we got together last Wednesday evening for a 'knit night' and have made plans for more 'knit nights'! It is so fun for me to see them really enjoy the hobby I have loved for 44 years!
I have seen the ladies become comfortable holding the needles, or sticks as Tami calls them!! hehe

And to have them try new projects and techniques!

Love the comfort of knitting!

Happy Valentine's Day to all!
We're heading out to snowmobile with my sister Julie and her husband! It's one way to tolerate all the snow we have around here!!
Above, our gifts to each other.....a TomTom for Tim(us)...
a trip to Mexico for me(us)!! Ha!

Nothing like a Cute Cupid on Valentine's Day!!

Enjoy your day!
