Another Sneak Peek!!

These aren't the best pictures but they give you a little more idea of what's to come for the dolls.
Oh, and I decided to call them Randy and Megan! After my girls, Randi and Megan. The names were suggested by my friend Susan. Thanks, Susan!!!
So, off to finish Randy and Megan's clothes!!

SNEAK PEEK!!

I know, it's been a long time since I have mentioned the dolls. I ran into a little problem, I needed more white yarn and my LYS ordered it for me and then I founds out that it was back ordered. Soooo..... Plan B. Oh, I didn't have a Plan B. After a little thought I came up with a new plan. Now I just need to get really busy, the dolls are due Sept. 1st. Check back here this weekend!

Weddings and the Kandiyohi County Fair!

We had a busy weekend with two weddings and then I threw in a stop at the fair to see my friend Brooke's kids show their calves on Saturday morning. It's one way for me to get back to my farm roots!

This is one of my favorite pictures! Caden with his calf 'Yasmine' and his dad Trevor and little Sophia. She wanted to walk along with her dad!! So sweet!

Chloe is growing up so fast!! This may be the first year that Chloe is taller than the calf. She seems so comfortable with 'Belle'. What a great experience for kids to have.

Brody, smiling big for the camera's! And so proud of his blue ribbon for showing 'Pop Tart'!!

And little miss Sophia! 'Will you show a calf some day?' Or maybe too much sugar and spice?

I enjoyed watching the peddle-pull and the kids getting their calves ready for showing....not many kids get to experience things like this. They are so blessed!

RED ROCKETS!!!

When I stepped on the deck this morning this is what I found blooming. These flowers bring back great childhood memories! My mom grew these in her garden when we lived in Marshall, Mn in the early 60's. They're a biannual and grow to over 4 feet high. I got these seeds from my aunt a couple of years ago and these are the first blooms. In a few days they will have flowers almost half way down the stem. I wonder if my sisters remember these? There will be lots of seed that I'll have to pass on. I'm not sure what the 'real' name for this flower is but we called them 'Red Rockets'. What a sweet memory!
