Spring-in' into another HHH Friday!!

I can hardly believe it's Friday already!! I've had a very busy week at work(good thing) and have needed(wanted) some relaxing time....I found it last night! DH was at an appt./meeting and I had the house to myself! So I gave this card a try...I can see that I need to get more colors of embossing powders. Anyhoo, I embossed Unity's BIG Half Flower with clear and stippled these CTMH inks(Crystal Blue, Sweet Leaf, Honey, Blush and Petal) over the flower. Then stamped 'spring' from Unity's Feb. KOM with Sweet Leaf and 'popped' it up!Thanks for looking and I hope it's a great weekend for everyone!!

Hip Hop Thursday!!

This week one of Jeanne's Hip Hop Challenges is a color challenge called "Unity Colors My World". You are to make a card or project using Unity stamps in the colors you would find on a globe - Blue, Green and any neutral color (browns can be called a neutral).
I used the 'Little Sprout' set, and I used all four of the stamps in that set! (I had been wanting to use the stars' stamp!)
Thanks for stopping by!!
Have a Hip Hop Thursday!!

Crafty Weekend!!

Yesterday I stopped by Unity on my way to help at a
knitting retreat! I picked up the Numbers, Etc that
I won for a Hip Hop challenge on Thursday! And I was
hoping to pick up my order for Lisa Hetrick's new
Yep, they were ready.....maybe I'll be able to try them
out tomorrow...in between projects!! ;)
While visiting Unity I got my first cycle ride of the year!!
Haha! I'm use to a Harley Davidson Road King.....
this little 50cc........hmmmmm....well, it was fun!
Buzzing around New London on salty/sandy roads
was a little nerve racking! (Thanks for the safe ride Gus!)
Never seems to be a dull moment at Unity!
Then today I went back to the knitting retreat to
help with a few classes.....these little Easter bunnies
were last nights project....fast and ca-ute!!
These ladies were so fun...laughter and joking
constantly!! So many interesting yarns and patterns!

It's hard to decide what to work on next!!

Now tonight T and I are going to go relax and hang with friends and maybe do a little dancing at a Fireman's dance.......

Have a great evening!

HAPPY, HAPPY HHH!!

Have you ever made something when you aren't feeling well, and when you do feel better you look at it and think, 'What???? Eeew!' Yep, I had one of those last night. I uploaded the picture this morning and right away headed off to make something else! I feel better about this 20 minute (from thought to paper) card! Almost too simple but will work great for one of the two birthdays we have this weekend! TFL (edited: decided to reposition the presents!)
I made this for the Unity Addicts Challenge for this week! The challenge was to use the colors Brown, Pink, Orange and Turquoise!

TGIF&HHH

This LO is for the Unity Addicts Challenge for
this week. You are asked to use something not
ment for card making or scrapbooking.
I love to save tags from clothing! Lucy always
has the neatest tags on their clothes. This one
says, 'once upon a time...'! The Unity stamps
on this page are from the 50 for 8 grab bag!
(Still needs something more......mmmm!)

And this card is made with Unity's March KOM...
a little ink and hemp cording.......

Calendar at a Glance!

I made this calendar
for my office desk...
it'll be easier for my
clients to look at
rather than
the big wall
calendar!

A client of mine
brought one in
to show me!!!
I'm not sure
where she got
the pattern...
I'll find out to give credit!!

I took the
measurements...
and printed the
calendar from here!

All the stamps
are Unity....
of course!

Thanks for
stopping by!!!

A QUIET CELEBRATION!!

(Note: Leave a comment at the bottom
of this post and win some Unity rubber!)

For some reason I'm a little nostalgic today......
....this picture is from about March 1979....
...a few months before we got married.......
(We are wearing sweaters I hand knit!)

....and this picture is from the summer of 1986....
...the girls still like to make faces when we take pictures....

LOL!! I am blessed!

The reason I'm a little nostalgic to day could be because....mmmmm.....it's my birthday! My family knows I like to keep my birthday very quiet.....no big parties and no surprises! So today I'm going to St. Cloud shopping and for a pedicure and manicure with a good friend. Then home for a steak dinner with DH and I'm hoping DD#2! Nice and quiet!

Oh, and before I go, here is a card I made using a couple of Unity stamps I got in the 50 for 8 bag!!

Edited: [For my crafting friends out there(or anyone) I'm going to give out a little Unity rubber as a 'birthday treat'! Kind of like when we were in elementary school! Lets see...... well, I was going to have you guess something but I think I'll just do a random drawing! Just leave a comment on this post by 6 AM tomorrow, 3.10, and I'll pick at that time!! Have a great Monday! I will!! ;)]

Happy Hangover!

Simple cards....They were made at work.
So the supplies are very limited!

This little Birthday card was made with
Unity's Birthday Chic stamp set!

These cards were made with Unity's Feb.KOTM.
I hadn't been watching Unity's Scrapbook DT member

Renee's blog this week, while blog hopping I saw that

she had the same idea as me.....errrr, or I had the

same idea as Renee'!!!

Have a great weekend!!

Unity HHH!!!

This stamp is from the Unity's Feb. KOM!
I was inspired by Jess'(jexterra)
mushroom card here!!
The paper is from DCWV's The Green Stack!
Thanks for stopping by!!
Edit: I didn't get around to the Blog Hop until late last night,
after I had set up this delayed post! Then I saw that
the Unity DT member, talented Heather B.
had used the same stamp and paper too!!
They were meant to go together!
We did go snowmobiling last night....
it was great!! Light, fluffy snow!
And the temperature was perfect!
Maybe it'll snow again and I'll get another chance!

JUST A LITTLE CRAFTING.....

Eli is getting to the age that he needs to
wear a bib once in a while!
And since his mom hasn't been to impressed with
what there is for bibs in the stores we talked about making
some.....This is the first results...soft flannel and terry! We'll see
if that little 'bugger' soaks thru these bibs!
Now for a little Unity....I made this card for the
Monday Girls Challenge! Pick a Holiday! You were to
pick your favorite holiday and mine was a toss-up
between Christmas, Valentine's Day and Halloween!
Since I still had a lot of Valentine stuff at work
this is what I came up with!
Papers are Rhonna Farrer and Basic Grey, 'wings' are
Heidi Swapp ghosts and black dots are ColorBok metal dots!
The Unity stamps used are 'je t' aime' and
the swirl from Jan. KOTM!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!!

Happy HHH Friday!

What fun to check out every one's creations from the week during HHH! It's a great way to get 'inspired' with Unity stamps!!

These little Valentine's were for the Unity Addicts Challenge! (Need to finish 3 more to send to 5 little nieces and nephews!) They were made with the Big Polka Dot Cupcake and Sweet Yummy Cupcakes!

And a card for the Hip Hop Challenge-Unity Takes Flight!! I used stamps from two Unity KOTM, August '08 and January '09!

These two were embossed with CTMH embossing powders and I used Distressed Dots, and a swirl from Unity that I couldn't find in their product site.(letters from CTMH.)

This one has Distressed Dots, Harlequin and a circle and dots from Doo Dads!!(also letters from CTMH!) Embossed with CTMH embossing powder!!TFL

.......AND MORE CARDS!

I always have a few thank yous that need to go out......so Unity's THANK YOU WORDS comes in very handy!

CARDS, CARDS, CARDS!!

Nothing special
about these
cards.....
except that
they were stamped
with Unity stamps!
And that I picked
out the stamp
and put them
together in
40 minutes!
These were
from the
Sheetload of Cards!
I'll be using
Sheetload
again when I
need a lot of
cards quick!!

Heart stamp from
Unity's August KOTM...
swirl and sentiment
stamps from Unity's
January KOTM!
(I applied glue
and flock to
the heart!)
Simple and
oh so quick!

Unity is sponsoring Sheetload of Cards for February!
I had never heard of this site before so I decided to
give them a try!!! I really like it!!! Having a 'shopping'
list and dimensions to cut keeps me on task. Especially
when I'm so busy at work. Here's two I was able
to actually start and finish yesterday!! (Between
clients with limited supplies!!)

This is a card from a Unity Addicts Challenge
from last week.....
I should have used a sketch!!

SUNSET INSPIRATION!

Since I make cards for relaxation and
for their use I'm not going to put any pressure
on myself to get challenges done on time!
I just know I will always be behind!!

These 2 cards are from challenges from the
Unity Forum.................from last week!!

I don't have much time for crafting, so I bring
a limited amount of supplies with me to work
and this is what I came up with!
This first one was for last Thursday's Hip Hop
Card Challenge! We had to use
Unity stamps with the colors of a sunset.
(I took this picture on our way down to
Marshall late Friday afternoon.
It was gorgeous! )

Like I said, I had limited supplies!
I did embossing with silver and
used 7 Gypsies paper!
And this one was for the Unity
Monday girls challenge.
Amber called it 'Operation Flocking"!!
Well, I didn't have any 'flock'. And Willmar
doesn't have any...that I could find!

So when we were in the Cities a week ago
I stopped at Archivers! When I saw
the tan flock I thought of Unity's
cute little deer stamp!!
Kinda' like the flocked look!

Valentine's Day Cards!

Won't be long and it'll be February 14th.
This cute heart bouquet stamp is part of
Unity's January KOTM!
This IS the year that I'm going to do more crafting.
And quick little cards are a good start!

Hip Hop Challenge/Unity with all the Trimmings!

I'm a day late with this challenge for Hip Hop, but that's okay! I wanted to challenge myself, plus, I needed another 'thank you' card! Used Unity's August KOTM and colored the birds with Copic markers, I really like them, the color just flows.... The old ric-rac is from my sister Julie's MIL(who has passed). This card is already in the mail.....I always wonder what other card makers do with their cards? Are they in the mail???
