HAPPY EASTER!!

I hope all of you had a memorable weekend
with family and friends!!
I said that my next post would have
something creative to share....well,
here's a hat I knit for Eli!!! We were at
the grocery store yesterday and he was
being so good, I just had to take his picture!!
And it's not often that my family has a gathering
(we have monthly gatherings) and we have everyone present!!
Today we were all there!!
My dad, my four sisters and myself,
our husbands, children, our son-in-law
and our nieces bf! So finally a complete family picture!
(Taken quick before a niece left!)

With every birth and every union the circle grows.

Every joy shared adds more love.

Every crisis shared makes the circle stronger. "

Crafty Weekend!!

Yesterday I stopped by Unity on my way to help at a
knitting retreat! I picked up the Numbers, Etc that
I won for a Hip Hop challenge on Thursday! And I was
hoping to pick up my order for Lisa Hetrick's new
Yep, they were ready.....maybe I'll be able to try them
out tomorrow...in between projects!! ;)
While visiting Unity I got my first cycle ride of the year!!
Haha! I'm use to a Harley Davidson Road King.....
this little 50cc........hmmmmm....well, it was fun!
Buzzing around New London on salty/sandy roads
was a little nerve racking! (Thanks for the safe ride Gus!)
Never seems to be a dull moment at Unity!
Then today I went back to the knitting retreat to
help with a few classes.....these little Easter bunnies
were last nights project....fast and ca-ute!!
These ladies were so fun...laughter and joking
constantly!! So many interesting yarns and patterns!

It's hard to decide what to work on next!!

Now tonight T and I are going to go relax and hang with friends and maybe do a little dancing at a Fireman's dance.......

Have a great evening!

WHAT'S ON MY OTTOMAN?

Not much has been on my ottoman lately!
Kind of took a break from knitting....till now!
This orange 'Cotton Fleece' yarn is now
a hat and mitts for Eli! That little bald head
needs a little cover this spring!
Oh, and looks like a little business bookwork!! :(

I picked the yarn up at The Yarnery on Grand Ave.
in St. Paul!! Tim and I did a little shopping
and lunch out with Randi and Eli on Saturday!!
It was perfect weather to be shopping on Grand.
While Randi and I ran into Baby on Grand ,
Tim and Eli hung out in the car!!
I think we came back to soon for them!! hehe

Here's the finished hat and mitts!! Ready to send!

With the cool weather we have this week, Eli will need them!

ELI'S CHRISTMAS STOCKING!

Well, I'm still knitting away for the baby!
Just finished Eli's Christmas stocking yesterday!
(used some 'vintage' yarn I inherited from some
relative or friend). And I also finished
a little cadet cap today. (picture later)
I'm really pleased how the stocking turned out!
Randi picked out the color and wanted it done
in cables. So I looked at dimensions of stockings
and came up with the pattern myself. Good
thing I wrote down the pattern, Randi wants
three more just the same.
And since Eli is taking his time getting here
plans were made to have some medical intervention.
Randi went in this afternoon,
we just left her and Nick. Things are going well.
Actual labor is expected to start in the morning.
Soooooooooo.....
we wait some more!!

Refurbished!!

I finally got hold of Angela's slippers! I have been wanting to 'fix' them up
ever since I saw this picture of her wearing them at a bonfire!! (tisk-tisk)
I gave them to her last January(check out her post here!) after she
shared a few of the NEW Unity stamps to try out!
The bottoms were intact but they need 'restamping'!
I've learned to put lots of paint on the stamp and lot
of pressure when stamping on the felted slipper.
And to make them outdoor friendly I added leather to the bottoms!
The leather will keep the bottoms from wearing out
and they are still soft and flexible on the foot.

And the 'restamping'!!

Now to get them back to Angela and get her feet warmed up!

KNITTING FOR ELI!

Many people have been asking if I have been doing
a lot of knitting for Randi and Nick's baby.....well, I
just finished this little green hat this morning. And
the sweater/hat set I had finished last weekend and
just sewed the buttons on today. All three are made of
Classic Elite 'Premiere' yarn. (50%cotton/50%tencel)
It is sooo..........soft!

Next will be a Christmas stocking!!

HAPPY MONDAY!

Fun with Unity Stamps!!

This is a felted eyeglass case(that I made a while ago for my friend Susan) using a Unity stamp and paint.
(Do I need to stick it in the mail, Susan?)

This is one of the 50 cards I sent Mary for the 50 days
before her Birthday!

And this is a LO I gave Angela at Unity!

Gus's shrub trimming shenanigan's couldn't go un-documented!!

MONKEY SOCKS!

Sorry, but Ian is getting up-staged by my socks!
I finished these on our trip to Oklahoma! Really
like the yarn, sisu by SandnesGarn. A Eruopean
yarn I bought at the Purple Iris in Marshall, MN.
You can find the pattern here!
