Unity HHH!!!

This stamp is from the Unity's Feb. KOM!
I was inspired by Jess'(jexterra)
mushroom card here!!
The paper is from DCWV's The Green Stack!
Thanks for stopping by!!
Edit: I didn't get around to the Blog Hop until late last night,
after I had set up this delayed post! Then I saw that
the Unity DT member, talented Heather B.
had used the same stamp and paper too!!
They were meant to go together!
We did go snowmobiling last night....
it was great!! Light, fluffy snow!
And the temperature was perfect!
Maybe it'll snow again and I'll get another chance!

Yep, that's a school bus!
School got out early, most of my clients canceled!
And this is a view out my Pathfinders window!
It's a four-wheel drive day!
The snow is accumulating!!!
And it looks like enough for.....
SNOWMOBILING!!!!
I was hoping to be able to go once more
this year!!!
(I'll let you know if we do!)

BLOGAVERSARY!!!

It's been one year since I started this blog...
This is a great way to share and keep a
record of the simple (and not so simple)
things in life that bring me pleasure!
Like a milestone birthday.....
....a trip to our nations capital..
...a chance meeting with our future president(lol)....

....room make overs...

....weddings....

...summers last hurrah!....

...4-wheelin' with Ken....
...4-wheelin' with friends...

...and my guy....

....celebrating Ian getting his 'wings'....

......and the most joyful pleasure this past year.....

.....seeing our daughter become a mother......

......oh, the wonders of life!!!!!!

.....now my new year begins.....
....I look forward to all the new
'simple pleasures'
this year will bring!!!!

JUST A LITTLE CRAFTING.....

Eli is getting to the age that he needs to
wear a bib once in a while!
And since his mom hasn't been to impressed with
what there is for bibs in the stores we talked about making
some.....This is the first results...soft flannel and terry! We'll see
if that little 'bugger' soaks thru these bibs!
Now for a little Unity....I made this card for the
Monday Girls Challenge! Pick a Holiday! You were to
pick your favorite holiday and mine was a toss-up
between Christmas, Valentine's Day and Halloween!
Since I still had a lot of Valentine stuff at work
this is what I came up with!
Papers are Rhonna Farrer and Basic Grey, 'wings' are
Heidi Swapp ghosts and black dots are ColorBok metal dots!
The Unity stamps used are 'je t' aime' and
the swirl from Jan. KOTM!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!!

HEIDI GETS MARRIED!

Through the 80's and 90's I did home
daycare! I enjoyed all the different kids
who came to my home. Some were
only there for summer breaks,
and some came year round.
I can hardly believe that they
are old enough to get married.
Last July we went to Jordan's wedding
and yesterday was Heidi's!!
I feel like they should
still be playing dress up!!!! Like below!
Heidi is the little 'drama queen'(hehehe) in front
(wearing an old bridesmaid dress of mine)!
And behind her is Megan, who was one of
Heidi's bridesmaids, and my niece Heather.
Here's the beautiful bride, Heidi! No drama!
She was a perfect bride, even with a couple tears
of joy as she walked down the aisle with her dad.

And Megan, she is still the cutest (little) sweetie!
And here is Heidi's little brother Jeremy!
I watched him from when he was a baby
till he was in elementary school. I always
got in trouble with his mom for rocking him
to sleep when he was small. (Who wouldn't
want to rock and cuddle this cutie patootie?)
(Jere with the dress and my nephew, Brett,
as a bear!!)
And this is the face I will always remember!

Well..............they grow up! Jere is now in
college... and still a cutie patootie!!

Congratulations, Heidi and Jared!!

Don't worry Mark! She'll always be
your little girl!!

MY SWEET LITTLE VALENTINE!!!

I just had to post this adorable
picture of Eli! (12 weeks)
(Stole it from his mom's blog!)
Nothing needs to be said........enjoy!!

Happy HHH Friday!

What fun to check out every one's creations from the week during HHH! It's a great way to get 'inspired' with Unity stamps!!

These little Valentine's were for the Unity Addicts Challenge! (Need to finish 3 more to send to 5 little nieces and nephews!) They were made with the Big Polka Dot Cupcake and Sweet Yummy Cupcakes!

And a card for the Hip Hop Challenge-Unity Takes Flight!! I used stamps from two Unity KOTM, August '08 and January '09!

These two were embossed with CTMH embossing powders and I used Distressed Dots, and a swirl from Unity that I couldn't find in their product site.(letters from CTMH.)

This one has Distressed Dots, Harlequin and a circle and dots from Doo Dads!!(also letters from CTMH!) Embossed with CTMH embossing powder!!TFL

CARDS, CARDS, CARDS!!

Nothing special
about these
cards.....
except that
they were stamped
with Unity stamps!
And that I picked
out the stamp
and put them
together in
40 minutes!
These were
from the
Sheetload of Cards!
I'll be using
Sheetload
again when I
need a lot of
cards quick!!

Heart stamp from
Unity's August KOTM...
swirl and sentiment
stamps from Unity's
January KOTM!
(I applied glue
and flock to
the heart!)
Simple and
oh so quick!

.....JUST THE THREE OF US!! {love these 2!}

Another 'monkey arm' picture!!
It took over ten tries to get a
picture that all three of us liked!
(and it's probably not this one!)
Lots of laughing.......
especially at this one.... the girls said I looked 'high'!!
LOL......I'd say tired from a long, busy, fun weekend!!

CELEBRATING FAITH, FAMILY AND ELI!!!

What a joyous day! With family and friends we
celebrated Eli's Baptism, yesterday!!
Fr. Fitzpatrick preformed the Baptism.
Godparents, Auntie Megan and Uncle Jeff!
Don't forget Gma and Gpa!
Little Eli did wonderful all day!
Even with a house full of guests he
took his naps like a trooper...no
messed up schedule for his parents!

Unity is sponsoring Sheetload of Cards for February!
I had never heard of this site before so I decided to
give them a try!!! I really like it!!! Having a 'shopping'
list and dimensions to cut keeps me on task. Especially
when I'm so busy at work. Here's two I was able
to actually start and finish yesterday!! (Between
clients with limited supplies!!)

This is a card from a Unity Addicts Challenge
from last week.....
I should have used a sketch!!

A DAY WITH ELI!!

We shopped!
(Eli trying on hats at The Gap!)

We played!
(Eli watching the lights on his play ?thing? !)

HE napped!!
(Wears a little guy out going shopping with mommy and Gma!)

What Gma wouldn't drive 4 hours(2 each way) to spend a day with her grandson!! Randi, Eli and I had such a nice day! A little shopping at Rosedale!! Lunch out! (Eli was perfect ! Slept while we ate! Had his bottle, burped! Then back to shopping!) Then we played at their house and Eli took a couple of naps! A great day!! And I have to thank Randi for saying what a great day she was having! "Oprah's on, Eli's sleeping, my mom is here (and she got a new Pottery Barn catalog), what could be better?" Gpa Tim is going next week for 'his turn'!! (Randi goes back to work in 2 weeks!!) I'm so glad she was able to have a 12 week maternity leave. She was able to be home to see all Eli's changes, which happen quickly at this age.
