Our 29th Anniversary!

29 years!!!!! And I think(know) we are having more fun now than any other year of our marriage. This weekend we went up north with to our friends Lori and Jeff's cabin in the woods by Cross Lake to go 4-wheelin'. Always a blast when we get together with them and Mary and Aaron for a weekend. Then today we went to my sister Julie's(and her dh Randy) cabin on Norway Lake. There were about 25 of us together to celebrate Memorial Day, a couple of niece's birthdays and our anniversary. We're lucky to be able to have family get togethers on a regular basis. We try to celebrate birthday's every month, since we pretty much have every month covered with a few. It's priceless time spent with family.

The story about 'Mr. Right and Mrs. Always Right" is an old long one. Has to do with a zipper issue my dh Tim had! Any hoooo, my dear friend Mary gave Tim and I the mugs as a gift a year or two ago and when I found the anniversary card with just the 'Right' sentiment on it I had to get it for Tim. I hope Tim knows he is my 'Mr. Right'! (He already knew I'm 'Mrs. Always Right'.)

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!

When You Thought I Wasn't Looking

When you thought I wasn't looking
I saw you hang my first painting on the refrigerator
and I wanted to paint another one.
When you thought I wasn't looking
I saw you feed a stray cat
and I thought it was good to be kind
to animals.
When you thought I wasn't looking
I saw you make my favorite cake just
for me and I knew that little things are special things.
When you thought I wasn't looking
I heard you say a prayer
and I believed there is a God I could always talk to.
When you thought I wasn't looking
I felt you kiss me good night
and I felt loved.
When you thought I wasn't looking
I saw tears come from your eyes
and I learned that sometimes things hurt
but it's all right to cry.
When you thought I wasn't looking
I saw that you cared
and I wanted to be everything that I could be.
When you thought I wasn't looking, I looked
and wanted to say thanks for all the things I saw
when you thought I wasn't looking.

MOVING DAY!

Tim and I went to the Cities to help Randi and Nick with the last
of their moving. All they had left wast the big furniture.
Saturday turned out to be a beautiful day after a very rainy Friday. With a crew of about 5 guys they had the truck loaded
and ready to go in about 15 to 20 minutes. R and N
had already moved all the small stuff, I think there
were only about 5 or 6 medium boxes with the furniture.
They were so organized. I think their excitement kept
them going with packing and moving.

No one wanted their picture taken, esp. Randi...so I just
got a few shots of the movers and the new house....

It's official.....

their new home on Garden Ave.
front living room....

kitchen.... kitchen from family room...
family room....

Nick in his garage!!!!!!
(note the 'new' grill)
back of house(family room)
and garage!!
Tim and I stayed around and helped out with a few things, while we were outside a neighbor (and her two little girls) came by and introduced herself, and Randi said that a couple more came over to introduce themselves today. She happened to know one of them from two doors down. Small world. There are a lot of young families on Garden Ave. We are so excited and happy for them, I think they ended up on the perfect street for their first home.
When we were getting ready to leave we noticed that with all the big trees in their yard the rain gutters needed cleaning and told Nick to be careful around the power wires, he said not to worry, "I love my life!!"

TGIF!

I just have to share that these Dansko clogs are my FAVORITE shoes (right now)! They are the most comfortable 'footwear' I have ever worn..... just had to share!!!

First grandbaby project ready to block and sew together! I thought this would make a great floor blanket.I just finished the last square early this morning(the center one with the tree and house)! They are made out of Comfort by Berroco. Washable and very soft. Perfect for babies! (Are you reading this Randi?)

A couple of pairs of slippers almost ready to felt......

...but not today or tomorrow, Tim and I are headed to the Cities to move our DD Randi and her DH Nick to their first home. (Fingers crossed for LIGHT rain). They are so happy...I'm so happy!!LOL
